“Even with the game being made from the beginning for the PlayStation 5, we still had hopes we could make a PlayStation 4 version happen,” explained the developers. The developer has announced that they’ve made the decision to cancel the PS4 version of the game, due to the last-gen console version not being comparable to the current-gen PlayStation 5 version of the game. It looks as though those PlayStation 4 owners will have to upgrade if they want to play TeamKill Media’s upcoming cosmic horror game Quantum Error. Your crew is keenly aware that something is out there, and you’ve got to make sure that the power stays on in order that the lights keep whatever is out there at bay. However, in doing so, be aware of the unseen creatures that lurk beyond the lit areas of your facility that have taken a keen interest in the invaders from the surface. Along with discovering and mining resources, you must also explore and expand into the murky depths in order to further your research. As such, you’ll be having to maintain the facility’s oxygen, power, food supplies, along with keeping your crew alive and sane. You have been tasked to build and oversee a deep sea research facility with the aim of perfecting (and weaponizing) human cloning. Set to arrive in Early Access on Steam on January 17, Surviving The Abyss puts you in 1976 during the Cold War. Not only are you having to lead a team of scientists on the ocean floor, caring for their well-being (and sanity), but you’ve also got to deal with what lurks in the dark depths, beyond the safety of your lights. While it’s not the outright horror you’d find in Iron Lung, Paradox Arc and developer Rocket Flair Studios’ newly announced Surviving The Abyss definitely has some creepy vibes to it.
